In their own words, from their campaign website, summarised in plain English.
Economy and cost of living
Andrews says she wants to raise wages, strengthen workers' rights, expand affordable child care and paid family leave, and bring back trade policies that protect South Carolina jobs and farms.
Andrews says she wants policies like a public option to expand affordable coverage, easier-to-afford mental health care, lower prescription drug costs, and open rural hospitals. She also says she would protect and expand Medicaid and strengthen vaccine access.
“Advocate for policies like a public option that expand access to affordable healthcare for all South Carolinians”
Andrews says she wants stronger border security along with a path to citizenship for people who work hard and follow the rules. She also says she would keep families together, ensure due process, and support South Carolina farms and businesses.
“We can have secure borders and still treat people with dignity.”
Andrews says she wants to restore the protections of Roe v. Wade, guarantee access to contraception and infertility care, and expand maternal health services in rural areas.
“These decisions belong to women and families, not to politicians.”
Andrews says she supports the Second Amendment and wants universal background checks, a ban on weapons of war, and safe storage laws. She also wants more funding for community violence prevention and mental health programs.
“We can respect the Second Amendment and still protect our kids.”
Andrews says she wants to fully fund public schools and special education, raise pay for teachers and school staff, and expand affordable child care and early learning. She also wants to protect and expand free and reduced-price school meals and get phones out of schools.
Andrews says she wants to end open-ended wars, require Congress to approve use of military force, put diplomacy first, and fully support veterans and military families.
“Require Congress to approve use of military force”
Andrews says she wants to ban corporate PAC and dark money, bar members of Congress from trading stocks, and support term limits and stronger ethics rules. She also says she would protect the right to vote and make elections fairer.
“Barring members of congress from trading stocks and getting rich off of insider information”
No ratings: interest groups score members of Congress on their votes, and Annie Andrews has no congressional voting record.
Money
From FEC filings for 2025–26. Outside spending is money a group spends on its own about a candidate — TV and online ads, mail, canvassing. It is not a donation to the campaign, and the candidate does not control it. Supporting means it was spent to help that candidate win; Opposing means it was spent to defeat them, usually on attack ads. Groups report it within 24 or 48 hours as the election nears. Raised is the campaign's own fundraising, as of its latest quarterly report. Largest donors come from each outside spender's own FEC receipts, with each donor's share of its itemized receipts; donors under $100,000 are not named. People are shown with the employer and occupation they reported. A donor that is itself a political committee is shown with its own largest donors. Companies and nonprofits don't report their funders to the FEC, so the trail ends there, and the page says so.

Controversies
Stated as reported. Most are reported by at least two independent news outlets or found in an official record; any with only one source so far is marked Single source.
Allegations
Late filing of personal financial disclosure during 2022 House campaign Single source
Only one source found so far. We keep looking for a second, independent report.
The Post and Courier reported that Andrews did not publicly disclose her personal finances as a congressional candidate for months, filing only after the S.C. Republican Party filed a complaint with the House Committee on Ethics. The article notes the standard fine for a late personal financial disclosure is $200.
Response: In a statement, Carpenter said Andrews "immediately began the process of completing her full financial disclosure" after the newspaper asked about it
Trump's use of an anti-transgender slur about Andrews
The Post and Courier, NBC News and The Hill reported that President Trump referred to Andrews with an anti-transgender slur in an Oct. 5 Truth Social post. Former Gov. David Beasley (R) called the post "abhorrent," and Sen. Chuck Schumer called it "despicable."
Response: “If name-calling would help lower gas prices and grocery prices, he can call me all the names he wants. But I don’t think that’s going to get the job done.”
Dispute over Andrews' stated position on gender surgery for minors
The Washington Examiner reported that Andrews said in a campaign ad she does not support gender surgery for minors, despite having previously advocated against a state law restricting such treatments. CNN reported that Republicans pointed to her 2022 opposition to South Carolina's law on transgender athletes, and that a Graham campaign spokesperson said she is "openly lying about her record."
