Semblen Monitor
See how the press is writing about you: not only where you were mentioned, but the wording.
Media monitoring tells you that an outlet covered you. It doesn't tell you that the story called your proposal a "scheme", quoted only your critics, or framed a routine decision as a crisis. Semblen Monitor does.
What you get
We read the outlets you choose, find the articles about your organisation or your issue, and send you one email, each night or each week:
- every article, with its headline, outlet and link;
- the paragraphs where our model found a persuasion technique (loaded language, name calling, appeal to fear, card stacking and others), with the exact words marked and a one-line reason;
- a count for the period: how many articles, how many carried a technique, which outlets, which techniques;
- on request, the same for a peer organisation, so you can see whether you are being treated differently.
What it is for: deciding where a correction request or a call to an editor is worth making, briefing a director with evidence instead of a feeling, and checking your own releases before they go out.
What it is not: it does not rate whether a story is true, it does not score outlets, and it is not a clipping service that finds every mention. The model is right most of the time and wrong some of the time, so every flag shows the words it rests on and you can disagree with it.
Price
- $149 a month: up to 10 outlets, one topic, a weekly email.
- $299 a month: up to 25 outlets, three topics, a nightly email and a monthly summary.
The first month is free for the first five organisations, and you can stop at any time. There is no contract.
Who we work with
Universities, nonprofits, associations, public agencies, newsrooms and the firms that advise them. We do not sell to political campaigns, parties, PACs or candidate committees, and every customer gets the same product: no custom analysis for one side of anything. The public site shows the same analysis, free, on news, political ads and government statements.
See it on your own coverage first
Tell us who you are and what you would want watched. Jason will send a short sample from last week's coverage, marked up, before you decide anything.
