HSI's top five highlighting the great work of HSI agents across the country. Number one, in Mississippi, HSI Gulfport special agents completed Operation Money Waters, a sweeping child exploitation crackdown that used undercover online operations, sex offender compliance checks, and federal warrants to arrest 70 targets. Number two, at JFK Airport, HSI Chicago, HSI New York, and CBP seized $1.2 million in diamonds and gold tied to an international money laundering network moving stolen scam proceeds through precious metals and gemstones.

Number three, in New England, HSI special agents with the Homeland Security Task Force secured a major guilty plea in a RICO investigation tied to a deadly Trinitarios gang shooting that left two people dead and five others injured. Number four, in Pennsylvania, HSI State College special agents, with support from the FBI, DCIS, and Pennsylvania State Police, recovered a 41,000 lb shipment of stolen tungsten powder worth approximately $5.6 million, and made an arrest for stolen merchandise and identity document fraud. Number five, and finally, in Maryland, HSI special agents and the Harford County Sheriff's Office carried out an undercover child exploitation operation that led to the arrest of an ordained Catholic deacon who believed he was meeting a minor for sex, sending a clear message that HSI will pursue predators wherever they hide.
