In Minnesota, we've seen billions lost to fraud under Governor Tim Walts, and to include questions now about the Congresswoman, Ilan Omar. We've seen fraud, health care fraud. We've seen welfare fraud. And even here in North Texas, we've seen fraud around visa applications. So my question is, we appreciate what you're doing now, but really we know that that's more important than just a slogan. the slogan, when are we going to see people held accountable for that? Sure. Again, I think one of the most important questions, and I will say that though it doesn't always fetch the same headlines, I think the accountability is already starting to come. We've already thrown multiple people in prison because of fraud in the Trump administration. We've prosecuted dozens of people that weren't even being looked at. People were running immigration fraud schemes, people who were running visa fraud schemes, people who were stealing from the welfare system from People who are running visa fraud schemes, people who are stealing from the welfare system, from Medicaid, from Medicare, from Social Security, from everything. Because we really have seen a level of fraud in this country that is completely out of control. One of the things that I take very seriously is this commitment to actually hold people accountable. And so one of the things that we've been very careful about is when we bring a criminal case, we make sure that it's a good one. And we make sure that everything is fully developed. And we also make sure, importantly, that the president and the vice president, we're not putting our thumb on the scale because one of the reasons why we saw so many of those Biden era prosecutions fall apart is because they were obviously politically motivated. we're not putting our thumb on the scale because one of the reasons... What we're trying to do is actually let the facts and the law drive this stuff, which is why I think we have a much higher rate of getting these prosecutions, because we're not going out there saying we're going to prosecute these people because they have a D next to their name. We're going out there and prosecuting them because they are fraudsters and they deserve to go to prison and we're able to win a lot of these cases and we're going to win a lot more in the months and years. to come. And the final point I want to make about that, man, is the fraud is actually, to me, very closely connected to the affordability problem in the United States of America. If you're stealing hundreds of billions of dollars, and that's what we've already uncovered in the anti -fraud effort. If you're stealing hundreds of billions of dollars that should go to American citizens or at the very least should be returned to Americans in the form of tax relief. and you're going out and spending that money, you know, buying a Mercedes And you're going out and spending that money, you know. Benz as a fraudster, then you're actually contributing to the affordability crisis. And so I think one of the biggest dividends that we're going to see from the anti -fraud effort is that we're going to give the American people more of their money back, less going to fraudsters, and that's how we make life more affordable.
