Economy and cost of living
Brooks says he wants to raise the minimum wage and tie it to inflation, pass the PRO Act to make joining a union easier, and enforce rules against price-gouging. He also backs more housing, including ending private equity purchases of homes, and expanded childcare subsidies.
Brooks says he wants a minimum tax on billionaires and to repeal the 2017 Trump tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations. He says this would raise money to lower the debt and expand health care without raising taxes on working people.
“It’s time the wealthy and big corporations finally pay their taxes so we can rebuild the middle class.”
Brooks says he supports Medicare for All and wants to restore Medicaid cuts. He also says he wants to bring down drug prices such as insulin and expand coverage and local doctors and clinics.
Brooks says he wants to protect Social Security. He gives no further detail on Social Security in these passages, and his Medicare position is that he supports Medicare for All.
Brooks says he wants an immigration system that deters illegal entry and secures the border while treating people humanely and giving law-abiding people a chance to earn citizenship. He objects to masked agents taking people off the street.

Brooks says he wants to codify Roe v. Wade in law and pass legislation to overturn state abortion bans. He says the government should not tell people what to do with their bodies.

Brooks says he wants to build wind, solar and clean energy jobs while also approving new nuclear and natural gas plants. He also says he wants to let communities veto data centers through national law, and to curb warehouse growth.

Brooks says he respects the Second Amendment as a gun owner and supports universal background checks, closing the gun show loophole, and enforcing waiting periods.
Brooks says he wants to support Ukraine and NATO allies, pay attention to Asia, and deal with Russia and China without another endless war. He says he opposes the war in Iran and wants to improve veterans' health care, jobs and housing.
“I will always stand against pointless wars that cost American lives and hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars.”
Brooks says he wants a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United, a ban on corporate PAC money, a ban on stock trading by members of Congress, and term limits.
“No stock trading in Congress. If you want to get rich, don’t run for office.”
From FEC filings for 2025–26. Outside spending is money a group spends on its own about a candidate — TV and online ads, mail, canvassing. It is not a donation to the campaign, and the candidate does not control it.
