Economy and cost of living
Mendoza says she would lower the cost of food, gas, housing and child care by cracking down on price gouging, modernizing the Child Tax Credit and opposing tariffs. She also says she would support small businesses, workforce training and apprenticeships, and the right to unionize.

Mendoza says she would modernize the Child Tax Credit to give relief to working families and oppose tariffs that raise costs. The passages do not lay out a broader tax or spending plan.
Mendoza says she would work to reverse cuts to AHCCCS (Arizona's Medicaid program) and to enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies, and protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions. She also says she would let Medicare negotiate more drug prices and fund training for more doctors and nurses.
Mendoza says she would oppose any cuts to Social Security benefits and would explore ways to increase them, especially for seniors on fixed incomes. She says she opposes privatizing Medicare and wants to add vision, hearing and dental coverage.

Mendoza says she would strengthen security at ports of entry, deport violent criminals, hold cartels accountable and make sure immigration enforcement is professional and lawful. She also supports legal pathways to citizenship for people who work hard and follow the law, and stronger oversight of detention facilities.
Mendoza says she would support investment in American-made energy, including clean energy, and protect local solar projects. She says she would also keep data centers from raising utility costs, and protect Arizona's water supply, including its Colorado River share.
Mendoza says she supports diplomacy, working with allies and honoring alliances like NATO. She says she would require Congressional approval before troops are committed to new conflicts and would exhaust diplomatic options first.
Mendoza says she supports banning members of Congress and their families from trading individual stocks, and would strengthen transparency laws. She also says she would bring back town halls and hold "Congress in Your Community" events in her first 100 days.
