Economy and cost of living
Villegas says he wants to raise the federal minimum wage from $7.25, break up corporations that control whole sectors, give tax breaks to small businesses, and rebuild roads, bridges, water systems and rural broadband. He says he would also cap prices of medical procedures and drugs, and end corporate ownership of single-family homes.

Villegas says he wants to raise government revenue by taxing the top 1% of income earners and wealth holders, and give working families a tax break. He opposes tax cuts for billionaires and wants tax breaks for small businesses.

Villegas says he strongly supports Medicare for All, which he says would include dental and vision coverage. He also says he would cap prices of medical procedures and prescription drugs at levels in line with other major countries.
“I believe healthcare is a human right, and am a strong supporter of Medicare for All.”
Villegas says seniors on fixed Social Security incomes are being hurt by inflation and must be able to live with dignity. The passages do not spell out a specific Social Security plan, though he backs Medicare for All.
Villegas says current blanket detention and deportation policies are unconstitutional and wants a system with a path to citizenship for undocumented people. He also says he would act to bring deported veterans home and work with other countries to address poverty and instability that drive migration.

Villegas says any move to clean, affordable renewable energy must guarantee energy workers well-paid, secure jobs. He says he would hold corporate polluters accountable, expand National Parks and wildlife conservation programs, and protect farmworkers from heat. His press page lists a call for a moratorium on new data centers.

Villegas says he would ban members of Congress from trading stocks and becoming lobbyists, and set term limits for Congress. He also says he would seek every legal avenue to end Citizens United and ban corporate PACs.

From FEC filings for 2025–26. Outside spending is money a group spends on its own about a candidate — TV and online ads, mail, canvassing. It is not a donation to the campaign, and the candidate does not control it. Supporting means it was spent to help that candidate win; Opposing means it was spent to defeat them, usually on attack ads. Groups report it within 24 or 48 hours as the election nears.
