Economy and cost of living
Mackenzie says he is working to lower costs for working families after years of price increases. He points to expanded child and childcare tax credits, tax relief on tips and overtime, more affordable housing, and cracking down on illegal trading practices by countries like China.
Mackenzie says he backed the 2025 budget reconciliation bill, which extends the 2017 tax cuts, raises the Child Tax Credit to $2,200, and adds a deduction for tips and overtime. He says it also adds work requirements for some benefits and reduces waste.
Mackenzie says he is working with both parties on health care reform to lower prices and increase transparency. His proposals include reforming pharmacy benefit managers, expanding health savings accounts, requiring hospital billing transparency, and cracking down on insurance fraud.
Mackenzie says he is committed to protecting Social Security and Medicare benefits. He says he helped pass a $6,000 extra tax deduction for seniors 65 and over, which he says would eliminate taxes on Social Security for 88% of seniors.

Mackenzie says he supports securing the border, and cites the budget bill's $46 billion to complete the border wall and barrier system and hire over 8,000 new personnel, including border agents and immigration judges. He also says the bill bars illegal immigrants from taxpayer-funded benefits.
Mackenzie says he supports an "all-of-the-above" energy strategy. He says he has worked to cut red tape and replace one-size-fits-all energy policies to lower prices.

Mackenzie says he supports peace through American strength. He cites the budget bill's $150 billion for the armed forces, a national missile defense system, shipbuilding, and $9 billion for barracks and allowances. He sits on the Foreign Affairs and Homeland Security committees.
