Economy and cost of living
Suozzi says he wants to end tariffs he calls irresponsible and co-sponsor the Stop Global Tariffs Act, which would roll back the president's tariff authority. He also says he would back a bill for low-interest first-time homebuyer mortgages and fight for trade deals that bring manufacturing jobs back.

Suozzi says he wants to lower the tax burden on Long Island families and restore the full state and local tax (SALT) deduction. He also backs the Problem Solvers Caucus plan to cut the federal deficit from 6% to 3% and reduce wasteful spending.

Suozzi says he wants to extend the enhanced ACA premium tax credits for two years, with income limits and fraud safeguards, through his HOPE Act. He also backs his WISH Act to make long-term care more affordable so seniors can stay in their homes.

Suozzi says he wants a comprehensive package of reforms to secure the border and address the influx of undocumented migrants. He is working with Republicans on bipartisan legislation to secure the border, fix the asylum system and modernize immigration law. He has also urged the administration to extend Temporary Protected Status for El Salvador.

Suozzi says he will always fight to defend a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions, and warns that a national abortion ban is being threatened.

Suozzi says climate change is real and he wants to cut red tape to build energy projects faster, including clean energy, natural gas, nuclear and transmission. He co-sponsors a bill restoring clean energy tax credits and incentives for wind and solar.

Suozzi says he wants to phase out the Iran war, focus on diplomacy and modern defense spending, and rely on allies that share costs. He says Congress should enforce limits on a president using the military without congressional authorization. He also says he stands with Israel and wants to strengthen its regional security.

Suozzi points to his record on ethics reform, including creating FixAlbany.com in 2004 to expose corruption in state government. The passages give no current proposals on elections.
