Where they stand
In their own words, from their campaign and official websites, summarised in plain English.
Economy and cost of living
Lombardo says he wants to recruit industries such as critical minerals, healthcare, technology and advanced manufacturing, and to train Nevada workers for those jobs. He also says he will expand down payment help and interest-rate buy-downs for attainable housing, release more federal land for homes, and cut red tape to speed up permitting.
“Cut red tape and streamline permitting so homes get built at the speed families need.”
Taxes and government spending
Lombardo says he will keep his commitment to no new taxes and create an annual sales tax holiday around back-to-school season. He also says he would rewrite Nevada's tax abatement laws so every incentive is tied to requirements on power, water, local jobs and investment.
“Maintain the commitment to No New Taxes and create an annual sales tax holiday timed to back-to-school season.”
Health care
Lombardo says he wants to train more doctors, nurses and health professionals in Nevada and give them incentives to stay. He also says he would expand telehealth and partnerships so people in every county can get care without leaving the state, and recruit healthcare and medical technology industries.

Energy and climate
Lombardo says no Nevadan should lose power or pay higher rates to subsidize data centers. He also says tax breaks for data centers and other businesses should come with requirements on power and water use.
“Hold a firm commitment that no Nevadan loses power or pays higher rates to subsidize data centers.”
Guns
No stated position on their website.
Crime and policing
Lombardo says he wants violent and repeat offenders to serve the full sentences they are given, and to rewrite the fentanyl trafficking threshold so people carrying enough to kill thousands are treated as traffickers. He also says he will crack down on human and drug trafficking and back officers with pay, training and support.
“Justice starts with the victim: violent and repeat offenders serve the sentences they’re given, no exceptions.”
Education
Lombardo says he wants every child reading at grade level by third grade, higher per-pupil funding tied to accountability, and competitive pay for teachers. He says a child should be able to move to a charter or private school if it fits better, and he supports charter expansion, scholarships and Education Savings Accounts. He also says he would repeal "restorative justice" measures in schools and expand vocational and workforce training.
“Every child reads at grade level by third grade - hard stop - with increased support directed to the schools and students who need it most.”
