Economy and cost of living
Shaheen says she wants to roll back Trump's tariffs and get refunds to small businesses and customers, not only large corporations. She also says she would end tax breaks that let investors buy homes, expand help for first-time and middle-class buyers, and cut red tape on building affordable housing.

Shaheen says she would end tax breaks that hedge funds and private equity firms use to buy homes. She also criticizes corporate tax breaks passed under Trump and Republicans in Congress.
Shaheen says she supports Medicare for All and a public option. She says she would break up health care monopolies, stop drug companies charging Americans more than other countries, bar AI from making coverage decisions that belong to doctors, and double medical research investment.

Shaheen says she would pass Senator Sanders' bill to expand Medicare to cover dental, vision and hearing. She also says she would keep AI from denying coverage and care to people on Medicare.
Shaheen says ICE must be completely overhauled. She would require body cameras, ban masks, stop warrantless searches, and end ICE raids in schools, churches and hospitals. She says there would be no ICE warehouses in New Hampshire and that anyone who committed a crime against Americans will be prosecuted.
Shaheen says she needed an abortion (a D&C) during a pregnancy that went wrong, and that she will always and tirelessly fight for abortion access and reproductive rights.
Shaheen says she wants to tackle climate change, build much more local clean energy in New Hampshire, upgrade the electric grid to allow local storage, and retrofit buildings and add onsite generation to cut utility bills. She also says she would hold the federal government and polluters accountable for PFAS contamination and set stronger drinking water safeguards.
Shaheen says Trump's tariffs are alienating allies and disrupting trade and tourism. She criticizes spending on what she calls endless wars but does not lay out a defense or foreign policy plan in these passages.
Shaheen says she would overturn Citizens United, ban members of Congress and Supreme Court justices from trading individual stocks, and impose a lifetime lobbying ban on former top officials. She also backs criminal penalties for presidential profiteering and an independent ethics office with subpoena and charging power.
