“I look forward to working with him to lower costs, raise wages, create jobs, and deliver real results for every Granite Stater”
Shaheen says she wants to roll back Trump's tariffs and make sure small businesses, not just large corporations, get refunds of the tariffs paid. She also says she would end tax breaks that help Wall Street firms buy homes, and expand support for first-time and middle-class homebuyers.
“I believe Jim, Marty and countless others, as well as the customers who stuck with them through this chaos deserve to get their money back just as much as those giant corporations”
Taxes and government spendingDiLorenzo: stated · Shaheen: stated
Anthony DiLorenzo (REP)
DiLorenzo says he supports a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. He says he wants to protect the 2017 tax cuts and the elimination of taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security.
Shaheen says she opposes tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations, and says she would end the tax breaks that let hedge funds and private equity firms buy up homes.
“Step one is to end these Wall Street tax breaks for buying up our homes.”
DiLorenzo says he wants to make health care more affordable and increase access to it. He also says he wants to attack the opioid crisis on all fronts.
“Make healthcare more affordable and increase access.”
Shaheen says she supports Medicare for All and a public option, and wants to break up corporate monopolies in health care. She also wants to cap what drug companies charge Americans relative to other countries by backing bipartisan drug price legislation, keep AI and insurers from making care decisions that doctors should make, and extend the ACA tax credits. She also wants to double medical research funding.
“I’m with Bernie Sanders and support Medicare for All.”
Shaheen says she backs Senator Bernie Sanders' bill to add dental, vision and hearing coverage to Medicare. She also wants to stop the Trump administration's plan to use AI to deny Medicare coverage and care.
“Prevent AI from making decisions that should be made by doctors.”
Immigration and the borderDiLorenzo: stated · Shaheen: stated
Anthony DiLorenzo (REP)
DiLorenzo says he wants to secure both the southern and northern borders against illegal crossings, drug smuggling and human trafficking. He also says he wants to pass immigration reform.
Shaheen says ICE must be completely overhauled. She would require body cameras, ban masks, stop warrantless searches and end raids in schools, churches and hospitals, and she says there will be no ICE warehouses in New Hampshire. She also says anyone who committed a crime against Americans will be prosecuted.
Shaheen says she needed an abortion procedure after a pregnancy went wrong, and that she will always fight for abortion access and reproductive rights.
Shaheen says she wants to act now on climate change, increase local clean energy production, upgrade the electric grid to allow local storage, and retrofit buildings and add on-site generation to cut home utility bills. She also says she would hold the federal government and polluters accountable for PFAS contamination and enact stronger safeguards for drinking water.
Shaheen points to her time as Portsmouth Police Commission chair, when she secured de-escalation training, officer mental health support and community policing built on accountability. She says anyone who committed a crime against Americans will be prosecuted.
Foreign policy and defenseDiLorenzo: stated · Shaheen: no position
Anthony DiLorenzo (REP)
DiLorenzo says he supports peace efforts, especially in the Middle East and Ukraine, and wants to rebuild the military for future conflicts. He says he opposes Chinese efforts to undermine the currency, steal technology and buy American land and infrastructure.
Shaheen says she wants to overturn Citizens United, ban stock trading by members of Congress, Supreme Court justices and senior officials, and impose a lifetime lobbying ban on former top officials. She would also strengthen ethics laws for the President and Vice President with criminal penalties for profiteering, and create an independent ethics office with subpoena power.
“Overturn Citizens United and demand that anyone who wants to spend money on political ads or contribute to political candidates must do it in their own name”

Glittering Generalities (2), Loaded Language (2), Name Calling (2)
Read this before comparing the sides. Ads that attack an opponent use these techniques far more often than ads that introduce a candidate, whoever runs them, so the side running more attack ads shows a higher share. A technique is about wording, not about whether an ad is true. These are online ads only (Meta and YouTube), not television.
How a group is placed: by its own filings with the Federal Election Commission. A group is with a candidate when it reported spending to support that candidate, or to oppose the other one in the general election. The parties' own committees are with their nominee. Spending against a candidate in a primary places a group nowhere, and neither does our reading of its ads: a group with no such filing is listed as not placed. The sponsor table gives the reason for each.
Decide what counts
Not everyone would call every technique a problem. Untick the ones you'd call ordinary persuasion and the count updates.
49% of the 63 ads here use at least one of the techniques ticked below (31 ads).
Leaving out the softer ones (loaded language, glittering generalities, slogans, exaggeration, repetition): 33% of ads.

Money in this race
From FEC filings for 2025–26. Outside spending is money a group spends on its own about a candidate — TV and online ads, mail, canvassing. It is not a donation to the campaign, and the candidate does not control it. Supporting means it was spent to help that candidate win; Opposing means it was spent to defeat them, usually on attack ads. Groups report it within 24 or 48 hours as the election nears. Raised is the campaign's own fundraising, as of its latest quarterly report. Largest donors come from each outside spender's own FEC receipts, with each donor's share of its itemized receipts; donors under $100,000 are not named. People are shown with the employer and occupation they reported. A donor that is itself a political committee is shown with its own largest donors. Companies and nonprofits don't report their funders to the FEC, so the trail ends there, and the page says so.

Stefany Shaheen is running for Congress to stand up to Donald Trump and protect reproductive freedom. But this race is statistically tied, so we need your help to secure a victory.
Trump, Elon Musk, and the NRCC are all flooding this district with outside money to try and buy this seat. We can't let that happen. Will you rush a grassroots contribution now?

Elon Musk is flooding this race with millions of dollars trying to buy this election.
This is no accident. That's why we need your help to fight the outside money and amplify our message across the district.
Loaded Language: Emotionally charged wording like 'flooding' and 'buy this election' frames political spending as corruption rather than stating facts.

Looks up the ad's factual claims in fact-checkers, primary sources and wire reporting. Takes up to a minute.
An ad is on this page because its own "Paid for by" line is a campaign in this race; or it comes from a national Senate group and ran mostly in NH; or it ran mostly in NH and names a candidate — unless its sponsor is a campaign for some other office. Ads from outside groups appear alongside the campaigns' own.
Campaigns run one text as many separate ads. Identical text from the same sponsor is one card here, marked with its number of variants.
A technique is a specific rhetorical move in the wording, found by our model and explained in one line. It is not a claim that the ad is false.
Claims are checked when a reader asks: press "Check this ad's claims" on a card. Running a check and seeing its verdicts are part of Semblen Pro, because each check costs money to run; anyone can see which claims an ad makes. The ten ads with the most money behind them in each race are checked ahead of time.
Claim verdicts say what the cited sources say. A verdict that an ad is wrong or misleading is shown only when it cites an established fact-checker or an institutional record — Congress, a federal agency, a court — and its confidence is not low; a weaker one is not shown at all. Each verdict shows what it rests on and how confident it is. If we got one wrong, press Disagree: a verdict that readers dispute and no one defends comes down.
Video ads come from the campaigns' own YouTube channels; the transcript is analyzed. Meta ads are analyzed on their text; their video and images are not, yet.
