Economy and cost of living
Lawrence says he wants to lower the cost of living through federal investment in affordable housing, a federal tenant bill of rights, an end to corporate landlord price-gouging, and passage of the PRO Act to make it easier to form unions. He also calls for a 12-month federal pause on new data centers.
Lawrence says he supports a billionaire minimum tax and wants to tax billionaires and corporations at least as much as everyone else. He says he would also cut war spending, and that no small business should pay a higher tax rate than a multinational corporation.

Lawrence says he supports Medicare for All, which would remove the profit motive from health insurance, and wants healthcare guaranteed for everyone. He also says he would defend existing mental health programs and VA health services.

Lawrence says he supports lifting the payroll tax cap to guarantee Social Security now and in the future, and opposes cuts to it. He also backs a National Family Care Agenda that includes re-evaluating senior care and expanding home health care.

Lawrence says he wants to end the ICE occupation of American cities and hold ICE accountable for unconstitutional conduct. He supports a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

Lawrence says he would fight for investment to secure the climate, adapt to climate change, and bring down electric bills. He also says he wants to protect Michigan's water by restoring wetlands and rivers, and to hold polluters accountable.
Lawrence says he wants to end the war on Iran, stop arming Israel and other human rights violators, and favor diplomacy over war. He supports continued military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine alongside negotiations to end that war.
Lawrence says he wants to ban stock trading by members of Congress and the executive branch, and to prosecute what he calls the Epstein class for human trafficking and tax evasion. He also says he is unbought by corporate money.
