How this works
- One rule for every source. Each night we take the newest 3 items from each source below that we have not analyzed before, and run them through the same model and thresholds as everything else on this site. Every one is listed, flagged or not.
- Both parties, the same way. In each chamber the majority and minority leader are side by side. We do not publish rates by party: a week of one leader's floor speeches and another's press statements are not comparable, and the page is not a scoreboard.
- What a finding is. A manipulation technique is a way language is used to persuade — not a claim that a statement is false. Findings include language a source is quoting, and the model over-reads ceremonial language (tributes, anniversaries, mission statements) as persuasion. Treat each finding as a prompt to read the original.
