Your role at Voice, you obviously meet with and talk to a lot of other angel parents who have gone through the same thing you did. I'm curious, what are some of the emotional hurdles those parents face when you first talk to them? And what are their initial reactions when they find out that their loved ones were killed by somebody in the country illegally? Yeah, it's really, it's so heartbreaking to talk to these families. And they absolutely feel that they're just being left behind, that they're collateral damage to some, you know, their children are. They're collateral damage to some, you know, their children or loved ones or sacrifice on the altar of some type of self -serving policies. And so it's really difficult for them to not only navigate these, the legal proceedings and immigration proceedings, but just the journey they're now in without their loved ones. I think of me and Katie, my whole future, the rest of my life, I used to think of longevity in my golden years, watching my kids grow older and have children of their own. watching my kids grow. But I don't think about that now. They've stripped that away from me. I don't think of my longevity. I don't think of my golden years anymore. I feel like I've got a different purpose, and I think a lot of them go through that same situation, and they feel very hurt. It's very disheartening to watch you just completely be dismissed as inconvenient as and some of the other names they call you just to kind of shut you up they they inconvenient as, and some of the other names they call you just to kind of call you a racist or anti -immigrant or as in whatever they use they're using it to kind of keep you quiet and and i think a lot of them are starting to come forward now to say you know i don't think that's good enough i can't be just called a racist and not tell my story so we're hoping to get them also uh the ability to to get up front and tell their stories and say that what happened during the biden years and sanctuary jurisdictions is just not good enough
