Money in this race
From FEC filings for 2025–26. Outside spending is money groups spent on their own for or against a candidate, reported within 24 or 48 hours as the election nears. Raised is the campaign's own fundraising, as of its latest quarterly report. Largest donors come from each outside spender's own FEC receipts, with each donor's share of its itemized receipts; donors under $100,000 are not named.

False Urgency: The clock emoji and phrase 'now is the time' create artificial time pressure to prompt immediate action without deliberation — for example: 'now is the time'
Loaded Language: The phrase 'MAGA money machine' uses emotionally charged, derogatory language to trigger a reaction rather than describe a political entity factually — for example: 'MAGA money machine'
Bandwagon Appeal: The phrase 'join our fight' implies a collective movement already underway, pressuring the reader to conform and not be left out — for example: 'join our fight'

Appeal to Prejudice: The phrase 'our race' and 'team' invokes in-group identity to rally supporters around a shared tribal identity — for example: Our race is front and center, team! and our people-powered fight.
Loaded Language: The phrase 'MAGA money machine' uses emotionally charged, derogatory language to frame the opposition as a corrupt, mechanized financial force — for example: 'MAGA money machine'
Name Calling: Labeling the opponent as 'Trump's handpicked candidate' is a derogatory framing designed to delegitimize the rival by associating them as a puppet rather than an independent actor — for example: 'Trump's handpicked candidate'
Appeal to Fear: The call to 'fight back' implies a threatening force that must be resisted, creating anxiety about the consequences of inaction — for example: 'fight back against the MAGA money machine'
Glittering Generalities: The phrase 'big, bold change' is vague and emotionally positive but carries no specific policy meaning, functioning as rhetorical flourish — for example: 'big, bold change for Minnesota'

Minnesota is a potluck state.
Folks come from all walks of life and have different experiences, but we look out for each other. If it snows, we’ll help you shovel your driveway. If you move into the neighborhood, we’ll bring you a hotdish (what the rest of you call a casserole).
And let me tell you this: I love a good hotdish. They’re the cornerstone of every gathering, from neighborhood parties to family reunions.
That’s why, with less than 50 days until Election Day, I’m offering something special for a limited time: Make a donation of any amount to my U.S. Senate campaign, and I’ll send you my own tried-and-true Wild Rice Hotdish recipe!
Donate to help us win big in this battleground race, and in return, you’ll get one of my special recipes to bring to your next potluck!
It's a little taste of Minnesota, straight from my kitchen to yours.
Thanks for being a part of our movement!

Peggy Flanagan does not get to pick and choose which parts of the Walz-Flanagan administration she takes responsibility for.
She is second-in-command. When billions of taxpayer dollars were stolen through fraud, Minnesotans deserved accountability from their leaders.
Peggy Flanagan does not deserve a promotion. She deserves a pink slip.

Peggy Flanagan is hiding from the fraud. She let it happen.
Minnesotans have noticed.
That's why this race is a statistical tie.
I've been in every corner of this state, and I keep hearing the same thing: people are done making excuses for their leaders.
We have the chance to change that.

This is a MUST-WIN Senate race to flip the Senate blue.
I’m Peggy Flanagan, running a people-powered campaign for U.S. Senate in Minnesota. I’m the ONLY candidate in this race who rejects corporate PAC money, and I need your help.
Will you pitch in $3 before our end-of-quarter deadline to counter Republican attacks and make sure people power wins?

Hey everyone – it’s Peggy! I’m so proud of the movement that we’ve built and all we’ve done together – but we can’t let up now.
In just a few days, I’m facing my first end-of-quarter deadline for our general election campaign for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.
Fully funding this final sprint is crucial to beating Donald Trump and flipping the Senate blue, but it’s expensive. Before our deadline expires, please pitch in $3 to keep us moving full steam ahead.

It’s Peggy Flanagan here, and I’m running a different kind of campaign. I know a lot of folks say it, but I’m showing it.
So I need to be honest with you: Fundraising has been tough.
The summer months tend to be slow, and since I rely fully on grassroots supporters like you, we need to pick up the pace heading into September.
If you’re with us, please rush a donation before our end-of-quarter deadline and join our people-powered movement.

You don't have to go far in Minnesota to see what Peggy Flanagan and Tim Walz have done to our state.
We can do so much better than this.
It's time to bring back common sense.
Our chance to change Minnesota comes November 3rd.
If you want a safer Minnesota, vote Michele Tafoya for U.S. Senate.

Two names. One choice.
Peggy Flanagan was lieutenant governor while billions in taxpayer dollars were lost to fraud.
She was in office while Minnesota students fell behind.
And while party bosses tell you what to believe, I’ll tell you what I believe: women are women, men are men, and reality isn’t negotiable.
I don’t answer to party bosses.
I answer to the people of Minnesota.

In Minnesota, you often hear, “Vote blue, no matter who.”
But a reasonable question is, "What has voting blue done for you?"
✅ The DFL squandered an $18 billion budget surplus.
✅ The DFL increased the cost of government by 40%.
✅ The DFL looked the other way while fraudsters stole $9 billion of your tax dollars.
✅ The DFL allowed Minnesota schools to deteriorate. Twenty years ago, our schools were the envy of the nation, consistently ranking in the top 10 for test scores and graduation rates. We had the highest ACT scores in the nation. But Minnesota now ranks 21st in the nation for education – and the downward slide continues.
Voting blue has left Minnesota less affordable, less competitive, and falling behind in every economic and educational category. No wonder 65% of Minnesotans say they think the state is on that wrong track.
Now the DFL wants to give us more of the same – or worse – in the form of Amy Klobuchar (Tim Walz 2.0) and Bonnie Westlin-endorsed radical U.S. Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan.
As your State Senator, I will address taxes, government spending, fraud, education and all the core issues that transcend party lines.
Don't vote blue. Vote for you.

Spotted in Plymouth this week...
The DFL Monolith is at it again...
City council. Mayor. House. Senate. Congress. Governor. U.S. Senate.
Same team. Same corner. Same energy. Same lack of independent thought.
❌ Peggy Flanagan for U.S. Senate: Medicare for All. Washington theater. Political persona shape-shifter. Executive incompetence. Minnesota families pay the tab.
❌ Jesse Vavreck for City Council: Indivisible West Metro Endorsed. When's the next paid protestor meeting?
❌ Ginny Klevorn for State House: More spending, gun-owner insurance mandates. That’s not public safety. That’s a press release.
❌ Amy Klobuchar for Governor: She claims she will add 10,000 homes and perform a “Day 1 audit” of state government. But that would simply address the problems she and years of DFL rule created, and a fraud scandal so large the incumbent had to drop out. Sorry, Amy, you don’t get credit for mopping the floor you flooded. #Walzthirdterm
❌ Bonnie Westlin for State Senate: Guns, climate and other woke virtue signaling. Fraud, taxes and results were optional extras. District 42 sent a senator to St. Paul to represent our priorities, but we got a progressive copycat.
❌ Kelly Morrison for Congress: More gun control, more healthcare central planning and the same DFL vote. Physician in the bio; party-line in the job.
❌ Clark Gregor for Mayor: Climate plans and a half-cent sales tax so visitors can fund the next rec complex. Growth is fine. A new tax is still a new tax.
❌ Julie Pointner for City Council: Incumbent, same color scheme, same corner. Local government shouldn't be a copy-and-paste job.
What these signs represent isn’t a marketplace of ideas. It’s an echo chamber. These predictable progressive politicians only embrace philosophies that match and reinforce their own – and we're the ones who pay the price.
It's that kind of political groupthink that squandered an $18 billion state budget surplus, increased the cost of government by 40%, enabled more than $9 billion in fraud and eroded the trust of the MN taxpayer.
District 42 doesn’t need more yard signs. It doesn't need more blind partisanship. It needs common sense and a change in leadership, and I’d be honored to have your support.

I recently received this interesting text in response to one of my campaign efforts promoting my campaign and policy platform:
"Sorry Kevin, I think you're in over your skis on this one. Bonnie (Westlin) is beloved in this district and the Progressive Plymouth Moms are a force to be reckoned with."
Candidly, before receiving this text from who I assume is a Progressive Plymouth Moms member, I was not aware the group existed. And I found this way of engaging via text a bit odd.
So, I did some digging.
Meet the Progressive Plymouth Moms, an invitation-only Facebook group "of moms in the Plymouth, MN area" that operates "under the basis of several shared progressive beliefs." I wonder which ones they've selected...
Their private group Facebook page states: "In a progressive context, nonpartisan means our group doesn’t endorse specific candidates or parties inside this space, and we don’t allow campaigning. Instead, we focus on values, facts, equity, and respectful civic engagement, the things that matter no matter who’s running."
Wow. So much for "respectful civic engagement.” (Oh, and by the way, the correct idiom is "OUT over your skis," not "IN over your skis." If you are going to try to mock someone's volunteerism, at least get it right.)
And for a group that purports to be "non-partisan" and "doesn't endorse specific candidates or parties," "Bonnie is beloved" sure sounds like an endorsement to me. (Of course, the supposedly "non-partisan" PPM also endorsed progressives candidates Julie Joseph and Milind Sohoni for the Wayzata School Board last year, but that's another discussion.)
In the spirit of collaboration, I welcome their feedback.
What are the Progressive Plymouth Moms' thoughts on the following issues?
☑️ Should the state government have spent the $18B surplus?
☑️ Should the state government have increased the cost of government by 40%?
☑️ Do you trust the tax dollars you pay to state government are spent responsibly? Please read this article before answering: https://ow.ly/qeU950ZLHQw
☑️ What do you think of Bonnie endorsing Peggy Flanagan? https://ow.ly/34jO50ZLHQx
☑️ Is there anything this group would like to collaborate on during my campaign?
Please reach out. I'd be happy to take part in some respectful civic engagement.

New here? I’m Peggy Flanagan, and I would love to have you on our team! 💚 But first, I thought I’d share a little bit about myself. Not the polished, status quo politician version – but my real story.
I was raised by a single mom in St. Louis Park, and just like so many Minnesotans and working families across the country, we relied on Medicaid, food stamps, and a Section 8 housing voucher to get by.
I owe everything I am to those experiences. They shaped my fight for working families like my own, first as Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor, and now as your Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.
That’s what makes our campaign different. We’re not just fighting against Trump and his allies; we’re fighting to deliver bold change for folks in Minnesota and across the country.
If you’re with me, join our team today by chipping in whatever you can. Your support helps us organize now, and win in November.

Hi friends, it’s Peggy Flanagan. I’m running for U.S. Senate in Minnesota because my story has always been a Minnesota story – and this campaign is too.
Let me explain. Here in Minnesota, we watch out for our neighbors. We always have, and we always will. Now, I’m running my campaign the same way – neighbor to neighbor, powered by the people.
Together, we’re making change happen. Not with checks from corporations or extremist billionaires, but with people like you, giving what you can when you can. Please chip in $20, or whatever you can spare, to organize and win this race together. Thank you.

Hey, it’s Peggy Flanagan, running for U.S. Senate in Minnesota!
When I was 15-years-old, I got my first job: hosting at La Casita, the hot pink Mexican restaurant on Highway 394 in Golden Valley. I relied on that job to support myself through college.
Just like so many of us, I needed to work to live.
But our leaders in Washington don’t know that struggle — and they aren’t working to fix it.
That’s why I’m running for Senate, to bust my butt for working families in Washington. And right now, I need your support. There are less than 20 days left in this race, and we need to win.
Please chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can afford to power this campaign in our final sprint.

For nearly three decades, Michele Tafoya built a reputation for calling it like she sees it on the big stages in sports, and was repeatedly ranked as one of the most respected and trusted figures in sports media.
Now Michele is bringing that same straight-talking approach to politics. She believes Minnesota deserves better than the corruption and fraud scandals that have dominated national headlines and embarrassed the state she loves.
After years of asking tough questions on the sidelines, Michele is stepping up to lead on issues of accountability, fiscal responsibility, secure borders, and law and order — and Maggie’s List is proud to stand behind her as she does it.

Common sense won today.
It’s crazy we even have to celebrate this, but the Supreme Court has ruled that men do not belong in women's sports.
This is a victory for common sense, but the fight isn't over. Girls deserve fairness. Girls deserve privacy. Girls deserve adults who fight for them.
That's exactly why I'm not standing on the sidelines anymore.
I'm running for Senate to make sure Minnesota always fights for common sense.

Glittering Generalities: The phrase 'common sense' is used as a vague, emotionally positive term implying that one side holds obvious, rational truth while opponents lack basic reasoning — for example: Common sense won today.
False Urgency: The phrase 'the fight isn't over' implies ongoing urgency and pressure to continue acting, discouraging complacency — for example: the fight isn't over
Repetition: The phrase 'Girls deserve' is repeated across sentences 2, 3, and 4 as a deliberate rhetorical device to reinforce an emotional appeal through familiarity — for example: Girls deserve fairness

Billions in taxpayer money went missing, and it wasn't the Senate or a state agency that caught it. It was a private citizen with a camera, asking questions nobody in office bothered to ask.
And when he testified, Democrat senators barely even showed up to listen.
That tells you everything about who's actually watching out for your money, and who isn't.
Minnesota, you deserve leaders who take your tax dollars as seriously as you do.

Exaggeration/Hyperbole: The claim that 'billions' went missing and that neither the Senate nor any state agency caught it is presented as established fact without evidence or qualification, overstating institutional failure — for example: billions went missing undetected by all oversight bodies
Card Stacking: The sentence presents the failure of institutional oversight as total and absolute, omitting any context about existing investigations, audits, or partial accountability measures — for example: it wasn't the Senate or a state agency that caught it
Appeal to Prejudice: Contrasts the heroic 'private citizen' against corrupt or negligent officials, flattering the common person while denigrating institutional actors to stoke anti-establishment sentiment — for example: a private citizen with a camera, asking questions nobody in office bothered to ask

I called this out last week, the moment I found out:
Tim Walz pardoned a convicted child rapist, days before he was set to be deported.
Peggy Flanagan stood right beside him.
Secretary Rubio rightly did what our own governor wouldn’t. He held the criminal accountable and made sure justice was served for that innocent girl.
Minnesotans don’t need leaders who stand beside predators. They need ones who protect our people.
That’s exactly why I’m running.

This will be quick, but I’ve got important news to share. I’m about to go up on the airwaves with my very first ad of this campaign.

So this is the moment I need you the most. Can you pitch in $5 today to keep my ads on the air and make sure every Minnesotan knows the choice in this race?

An ad is on this page because its own "Paid for by" line is a campaign in this race; or it comes from a national Senate group and ran mostly in MN; or it ran mostly in MN and names a candidate — unless its sponsor is a campaign for some other office. Ads from outside groups appear alongside the campaigns' own.
Campaigns run one text as many separate ads. Identical text from the same sponsor is one card here, marked with its number of variants.
A technique is a specific manipulative move in the wording, found by our model and explained in one line. It is not a claim that the ad is false.
Claims are checked when a reader asks: press "Check this ad's claims" on a card. The check runs once and its result is shown to everyone afterwards. The ten ads with the most money behind them in each race are checked ahead of time.
Claim verdicts say what the cited sources say. A verdict that an ad is wrong or misleading is shown only when it cites an established fact-checker or an institutional record — Congress, a federal agency, a court — and its confidence is not low; a weaker one is not shown at all. Each verdict shows what it rests on and how confident it is. If we got one wrong, press Disagree: a verdict that readers dispute and no one defends comes down.
Video ads come from the campaigns' own YouTube channels; the transcript is analyzed. Meta ads are analyzed on their text; their video and images are not, yet.
