Alme says he is running to make life more affordable. He says he wants good-paying jobs, low taxes so families keep more of their paychecks, and investment in workforce training.
“Montana’s working families need leaders who will create good-paying jobs, keep taxes low so families can keep more of their paychecks, and invest in training our greatest resource – our people.”
Bodnar says he wants to lower costs by stopping tariffs he calls reckless, cutting red tape on construction, creating tax incentives for workforce housing, pushing back on Wall Street funds buying single-family homes, and lowering childcare costs. He also says he would back trade policy that protects key industries and opens markets for Montana farmers and ranchers.
Bankhead says she wants to lower living costs by raising the federal minimum wage to at least $17 an hour by 2030 (phased in, then indexed to inflation), taxing hedge funds that buy single-family homes, and backing tax credits and programs to help people buy homes. She also says she would review every tariff country by country and require a vote of Congress before any across-the-board tariff takes effect.
